I, along with hundreds of families, had the pleasure of attending Sunday's grand opening of Livvi's place, and felt compelled to write to this post to highlight all the great work that has been done to get such a magnificent facility here in Ryde.
Congratulations firstly must go to Bec Ho and the Touched by Olivia foundation who have worked tirelessly on this project, from concept to reality. Their ongoing commitment to providing equal access playgrounds across the country will no doubt result in more Livvi's place playgrounds in local communities.
Congratulations also to all levels of government and to the corporate sponsors who made this happen. This project is proof positive that political differences matter little when there is good to be achieved.
Livvi's place is such a great project as it will bring people and communities together. As Councillors, it is to that end that we should be and remain focussed on.
