Why, amid this Covid 19 outbreak in the Ryde/Eastwood area isn’t the council more serious about protection for the general population from the virus? In popular Jim Walsh Park in Eastwood the play equipment is surrounded by perfunctory plastic tape and a couple of warning signs in English only, when we have a high proportion of people in the area who’s English is their second language. I watch from my porch as children ignore these signs and tape, and play on the equipment daily anyway! The whole play area should be fenced off entirely with proper cyclone fencing and the warning signs more severe and in other languages too!

My name is Jeanette Mascolo, 106 Melba Drive, East Ryde, ph 0298885177

(just perchance you can respond). I Have been on to Council re Lillipilli’s

planted by Council on Council nature strip, which I maintain,

I have been in contact with Council in regard to having this cut back as it is encroaching my access to my back gate which is on Lumsdaine Ave.

Today your subcontractors (apparently Arborists) came today, they would not cut back the tree, instead the sat one door up from me and had their morning cuppa. I am sick and tired of this, other residents in the area pay

contractors to prune the trees, I don’t feel disposed to this as both my husband and myself are pensioners. After all why do I pay Council Rates, you don’t as far as I am concerned maintain anything, not even the egress from Rene St onto Pittwater Road.

My continuous complaints to Council have obviously fallen on deaf ears,

so hopefully you are not going to ignore this.

Again, why do we pay Council rates, to be ignored?

Hope this does not go ignored and that message is not passed onto anyone else.

Wanker liberals too obsessed with stage 2 of the Parramatta light rail instead of a full 3 tracks up to Asquith on main Northern line. For freight trains and XPT.

    Hi Jerome,

Regarding your Facebook post today, I’d like to make a complaint regarding a comment I would call discrimination and bordering on racist. Using “OK Boomer” to describe a constituent who questioned your links to the CCP, I find racist towards conservative Caucasian people. You should be a leader in the community this should be deleted!

    HI,

I’d like to invite Mayor, Jerome Laxale to a networking fundraiser Ruby Red in Ryde, this Friday 30th August, 6-9pm Governor Hotel, North Ryde, sponsored by the City of Ryde.

Ruby Red Foundation is a charity I started following my daughter’s diagnosis with a rare blood cancer. Ruby Red Foundation supports research to improve the lives of people with rare blood cancers, called Myeloproliferative Neoplasms (MPNs).

It would be wonderful if you are able to attend. I apologise for the late notice.

    Kind regards,

    Sophie

    Dear Mayor ,

You are the last person that I submit our complain, I hope you will be able to solve our problem which started since one and half years ago. Please don’t pass this case to your service dept. becase they recieved and have in their record our camplains for four times and one time directly to councilor Sarkis Yedelian, but no one did any thing permanently so far. The results prove this.

We (Me and my wife) live on 35 Minga Street Ryde, NSW 2112, our neighbour lives on 37 Minga Street Ryde has a dog (German Shepherd kind) that used to bark nonstop with its loud and harsh voice from 8am till 7 or 8pm all day, everyday right in behind of our ears, because its owners, a brother and sister, never are at home evem weekends except night time. Four times I send our complain to Ryde City Council (We can send you all emails), I don’t know what they did, but nothing is changed so far. For your imformation, there are several dogs living in our street, but this is the only one that exceptionaly has barking sickness. We believe there is just one solution, to move this dog somewhere else. I strongly expect from mayor for the sake of its residents peacful life solve this problem forever, otherwise there will not other choice but to go for legal action or move away from this city if we couldn’t financialy aford, because we don’t want to lose our health. I am going to send a copy of this to Mr. John Alexander MP.

Regarding the welfare and safety of more than 300 families and 30 staff attending Debasca at Denistone East Primary school.

The lighting on streets at the back and front of the school is none existent and I believe presents a danger to families and employees working before and after school.

The roads on either side of the school are so dark that staff are worried about walking to their cars and for the safety of parents and students once they leave Debasca.

I have recently started working there and have already found difficulty in seeing my way to my car after work.

This situation is an accident of many possibilities waiting to happen.

Do we need to “lose” someone or have a major accident before we can have lighting directly outside the school?

Please assist us in keeping the more than 300 families and their Debasca students and staff safe.

Mr Mayor, I think that Dr Peter Kim should look up the Regualations with the “NSW Food Authority”. The person who supplies Cooks or Chef’s has an obligation to make sure the People they hire are suitably suitability qualified. They must have a Culinary Food Degree of 2 to 4 years preferred. Prior experience in Food and beverage service and food preparation. And more so have qualification “responsible service of Alchol”

I have had Food poison twice with Chinese or Asian Food. Most people do not report these incidents. I know of several people who have had the same incidents

It is about time a Health Inspector was to make regular checks to stop any unhealthy Food preparation. There are too many incidents where insufficient penalties are applied.

If you desire to operate a Business you must make sure your employees are suitably qualified. Look at the health and safety risk if a Plumber, Electrician, or Builder were not qualified. You cannot expect the Council to train them after they are in business.

Would Dr Peter Kim like somebody operating on him or operating a medical practice with out qualifications. He would be running to the AMA in a flash. So why ask the Council to foot the Bill or train them.

Early February you were door knocking in our area and we mentioned the pot holes on Burns St & Lucinda Rd, Marsfield.

You said you’ll come back to us about when Ryde Council will fix it.

We’re still waiting for your answer.

    Dear Jerome

It came to our attention that’s you are involve in crimes and corruption and you are spying on the people with connection to other labor politicians and other Education, Instructions, Health, Finance companies. You are cooperating with the criminal businesses and you destroy the Ryde community since 2012 up to now. This is unfair and unethical. Please, note , we would take this issue seriously to the Parliament. Thanks

    Dear Mr. Mayor,

As the organiser of an inclusive community event at the North Ryde Community Church, I invite you to join us at our Twilight Community Market on Saturday, 9th February or Saturday, 9th March. The market is well publicised in Ryde and some of our stall holders and many of our visitors come from the area. We appreciate that you have a busy schedule and this invitation comes at short notice but we would really appreciated if you could come even if for a short time. To enable me to meet you and introduce you to our Minister, Rev. James Aaron, please make yourself known to one of our friendly helpers who will be wearing white and blue branded t-shirts with “Ask Me” on the back.

Thank you in anticipation for considering our invitation.

    Kind regards

Many thanks Jerome for your support to save Macquarie Ice Rink! Yes the Macquarie Olympic size ice rink has been and is a very important venue for people from elite athletes, to ice hockey players, competition, recreation skaters including those who use wheelchairs for mobility

I am 63 years old and have skated at Macquarie Ice Rink for the last 25 years usually at least once weekly, My synchronised skating team Dominoes won the Australian title at the Australian Figure skating championships held at Macquarie Ice Rink in December 2018.

I am surprised that you only learnt about AMP’s plans on 16/01/2019 when council staff have been in communication with AMP for some time about this development plan. – Does this mean council staff do not keep yourself the Mayor informed about such significant development plans?

AMP says there is no room for an Olympic Ice Rink in the redevelopment, but there is room for more shops, and a huge plaza. There are plenty of shops already throughout Ryde City Council area and the whole of Sydney, but only one ice rink on the whole of the northern side of Sydney. AMP seems to think that an Olympic size ice rink is only for elite athletes, but that is not so – Macquarie Ice Rink is flexible and meets the needs of all ice skaters. Australia has grounds for recreation and elite athletes in other sports – cricket, tennis are 2 examples. What about an ice rink?

The Macquarie Ice Rink significantly contributes to the health and wellbeing of the community. AMP appears to only be interested in making money, rather guaranteeing an ice rink will continue to be onsite.

    Dear Mr. Mayor,

As a resident of Macquarie Park from 1980, the days when it was North Ryde, I am appalled at your support for the towers at 112 Talavera Road as evidenced by your denial of a reasonable request for an extension of time for a full consultation to occur.

Your webpage states you are accessible but you are denying the resident population access to due process in protesting this massive over-development of the suburb.

In my time in Macquarie Park I have experienced a massive change in the nature of the suburb such that it now makes access to and from my property in Fontenoy Road extremely difficult during an increasing number of hours during the day.

This development will not only blight the landscape through its visual dominance but will bring an impossible amount of traffic to the already overburdened streets of Waterloo, Talavera, Khartoum and Fontenoy Roads.

Your website states that you " place a great deal of emphasis on fairness and equality". This development is totally unfair to those of us who wish to live an active but peaceful life in the suburb.

The website further states, inter alia, “… that he wants his area to be the best that it can be. He wants the best schools, the best child care, and a fair and affordable housing mix across the City”.

This development goes in the opposite direction for the residents of a large area of Macquarie Park.

Please … use all your endeavours to facilitate an extended consultation period where the primary consideration is given to the residents … not the commercial interests who will then move away once they have achieved their goal.

    Thanking you in anticipation,

    Ken White
